Car Recall: Why They Will and What Should You Know
Why does a car recall occur? Here’s what you need to know if your car has an open recall:
Honda and Acura vehicles have been recalled by Honda, according to a recall notification posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The recall includes specific model years for Honda Pilots, and specific models for the Acura TLX and Acura MDX.
According to the NHTSA, recalls for all affected vehicles are due to failures in the brake pedal pivot pin, allowing the pedal to “shift from position”, preventing the driver from brakeing as intended, increasing the risk of crashes.
According to the recall, owners of the affected vehicles are expected to be mailed on July 28th. The dealer will inspect and replace the brake pedal assembly for free if necessary.
