After weekend protests against President Donald Trump’s immigration policy, the Los Angeles National Guard saw a clash between protesters and police officers on a riot device.

According to Defense Secretary Pete Hegses, Marines at Camp Pendleton said they were “on alert.”

On social media platform X, California Governor Gavin Newsom has called the Heggs threat to deploy active duty troops to American citizens “crazy behaviour.”

On social media on June 8, Trump said, “These radical castration protests will not tolerate protests from instigators and often paid troublemakers.” White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt said Trump had deployed security guards a day ago to sign a memo “dealize the lawlessness of Fester.”

In an earlier post, Newsom accused Trump of deploying the National Guard.

“Don’t give them that,” Newsom added. “Never use violence. Please speak in peace.”

Photos of the protest show milk poured into the eyes after being caught up in a chemical carrying the Mexican flag, police arrested or fired by law enforcement.

The protest comes after the Department of Homeland Security said it had arrested 118 people accused of being undocumented immigrants in Los Angeles.
