“Two Big Egos.” Americans weren’t surprised by Trump Musk’s feud.
Americans across the country say they are not surprised by the public feud between President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Tesla is no longer hot, the president says.
After playing influencer chefs in March and hosting a car show on the South Lawn of the White House, Donald Trump is considering removing his red Tesla the day after his release with his close advisor and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
White House officials confirmed in the background on June 6 that they didn’t want the Tesla model they purchased at the company’s support show after vandalism occurred at Tesla dealers nationwide in March.
The new electric car worth around $80,000 is still in the White House parking lot.
Trump said he was “very disappointed” with Musk, who served as the government’s efficiency director.
“Elon was wearing thin,” Trump posted to The Truth Society, apparently showing that the mask worn down his welcome.
After leaving the White House, Musk lobed a series of online jabs with Trump’s signature tax and spending bills, calling them “nasty hatred,” and asked Americans to ask Washington representatives to “kill the bill.”
Trump said Musk is upset about the electric vehicle subsidies from the bill that benefits Tesla.
The Congressional Budget Office said the bill would lead to an increase of $2.4 trillion in total deficit over the next decade, Trump argued.
The feud reached an obvious point of non-return after Musk was accused of accusing Trump of being nominated in a classified file about financial operators and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
White House officials told USA Today in the background on June 6 that Trump had no plans to come into contact with Musk.
During his tenure as cost-cutting emperor, Musk suffered continued losses from the automotive company. His deep cuts to federal staffing and programs spurred the “Tesla Takedown” protest, causing Tesla owners to be harassed and multiple dealers across the United States were destroyed. On March 11, Tesla’s stock price fell 15%, the largest day drop in five years.
In the aftermath of the June 6 feud, Tesla stock fell 14%, but showed signs of a 5% rebound on Friday, trading at $300 on NASDAQ at 10:50am
