With President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s “divorce,” the internet has become the joker-breaking.

The pair’s relationship, which began to show a rift in recent weeks, appeared to reach a breakpoint on June 5th when the president and Tesla CEOs cast personal attacks on each other on social media.

“Look, Elon and I had a great relationship,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on June 5th.

Musk recovered, saying Trump would have “lost the election” without him. From there the tat escalated.

Social media quickly slammed into public feuds, with users filming jabs with the pair’s “part-time” . Some politicians have even made memes. Let’s take a look at what this is going on and see the fuss on social media.

What happened to Trump and Musk?

Musk was Trump’s right hand for the early months of his second term as a leader in the government’s efficiency department, but Tesla CEO announced in early May that he would return from his agency.

At the end of May, Musk openly criticised the president’s so-called “Big Beautiful Building,” marking the beginning of the pair’s public conflict.

Trump said he was “very disappointed” with the mask on June 5th.

On the one hand, Musk supported the third Trump bluff, predicting a recession and accusing him of ties with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, who was blamed for the president.

Meanwhile, Trump threatened to cancel Musk’s government contracts and subsidies. Trump’s unofficial adviser, Steve Bannon, told the New York Times that he told the president to launch several investigations into musk, including whether he should be deported to the president.

Social media responds to Trump and Musk’s feud

While some serious claims have been thrown, the internet has tried to brighten up the mood with jokes.

Some quickly teased superstar Taylor Swift and Trump’s apparent beef.

And there were plenty of farewell jokes.
