Want to have a hot dog while shopping at Walmart? It may be possible at a nearby store soon.
California-based hot dog franchise Wienerschnitzel announced last week that it plans to open the location at the Walmart location later this year. The hot dog chain will be making splashes at locations around the country, similar to the way snack bars, McDonald’s, Taco Bell and the subway have been operating within Walmart for many years.
“Wienerschnitzel has built a strong reputation for decades, especially on the West Coast. This expansion into Walmart stores means a new era of brand growth,” Shak Turner, director of Wienerschnitzel’s franchise expansion, said in a press release from the company.
The location within Walmart will offer a complete menu of Wienerschnitzel, the company said.
The expansion to Walmart is due to be expanding to “non-traditional venues” such as airports, military bases, theme parks, food courts and convenience stores.
“These non-traditional forms allow us to modernize our footprint, bring iconic flavours to new audiences, and strengthen the brand’s relevance in today’s evolving retail and dining landscape,” the release said.
Where is Wienerschnitzel located in Walmart?
According to the company, Wienerschnitzel will open in its next city’s Walmart location by fall 2025.
