NEW YORK – As her own reality TV star, Ariana Maddix has her own qualification to host shows like “Love Island USA.”

In a real-life competition returning to Season 7 (streaming daily at Peacock this week) on Tuesday, June 3rd, the singles attempt to compete with a $100,000 prize.

“It’s not easy to put yourself out in the sense of dates, but not to mention the dating world the whole world sees,” Maddix tells USA about the contestants for “Love Island USA.”

Maddix, 39, is probably best known for her run in Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” but knows the fearlessness of love.

“They’re very brave, and I always hope they enjoy themselves, because that was something I loved about last season,” she said. “There was drama, but there was also a very beautiful friendship.”

The drama blends in with friendship is also a proper explanation of the precursor of a very public outage from “Vanderpump” when Maddix’s nine-year boyfriend Tom Sandoval is tricked into with another one of his co-stars Rachel “Rachel” Levis. Called “Scandoval,” it was unfolded in 2023 while Bravo cameras were rolling towards a TV show.

Maddix has front row seats in everything. The actress and Broadway performer will return to “Love Island USA” after holding season six.

Maddix reveals that he will exercise for three hours at the hotel gym on a typical day in Fiji. She then heads to the makeup chair: Maddix says that her hair and makeup usually takes about two hours. The Gram Team saves the final 15 minutes until they know for sure that Maddix is heading for the film.

“We’re watching a live feed of what’s going on in the villa, and this is really fun,” says Maddix’s cuisine of how she and the team spend time before they need a host. “You can change the channel between a group of people and the people they’re talking to. I love gossip and I love eavesdropping, so that’s perfect for me.”

Will Ariana Maddix star again in Bravo’s reality TV show after “Scandoval”?

Maddix is currently very pleased with her career. She reflects that before her role in “The Vanderpump Rules,” the actress will hold back “four or five different jobs at once” to pay rent.

“Now I’ve been able to do a job that I really enjoy, so I can survive my dreams,” she says. She can still try something different, from making cocktail books to running a restaurant, to owning something about her with fellow “Vanderpump” alum Katie Maloney. “I am truly grateful when people don’t try to make it happen and put (other) people in the box.

Of her various projects, Maddix does not rule out a return to Bravo. But there’s a catch.

“It’s hard to say what it is,” she says of the show that can be brought back to the network. “I think I’m in that type of position where I put myself there. I want to be in charge. I definitely want to be an executive producer.
