The Michigan couple had an anniversary that they would never forget, as lottery officials said they had won $2 million from scratch-off tickets.

Michigan lottery officials said the couple, from Oakland County, Michigan, said there’s something everyday about buying scratch-offs like the Diamond & Gold Game.

“We scratched this ticket together on our wedding anniversary and my husband first noticed a $2 million award. He thought something was wrong, so we took it to the store to scan it,” said the 44-year-old woman who chose to remain anonymous.

Lottery officials said when they scanned tickets at the store, the machine urged them to charge at the Michigan lottery office. Still incredible, they asked their friends to scan their tickets on the lottery app.

“I started shaking and I was totally shocked when $2 million came on screen. It was a very exciting and greatest surprise on our anniversary!” the woman said.

Michigan lottery officials said the woman chose to pay one-off $1.3 million.

“Congratulations to the lucky player and her husband who have never forgotten after winning $2 million on their wedding anniversary!” Lottery committee member Susanna Schkreli said in a statement. “I’m pleased to hear that the awards will also have a positive impact on children by funding future education.”
