good morning!🙋🏼♀️I’m Nicole Forelt. “Reputation (Taylor’s version)” did not appear last night.
I hope you had a long, peaceful weekend. Get in on Tuesday’s news:
- King Charles III has shown support for Canada as President Donald Trump longs for its people as the 51st state of the United States.
- Early predictions show that the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season will pose months of danger to millions of Americans.
- The Internet cannot fully understand what Jennifer Lopez’s American Music Awards performance.
Canada’s King Charles sends a message to Trump
Following an invitation from Prime Minister Mark Carney, Charles III will hold Canadian Parliament in Ottawa on Tuesday. The ceremony marks the first time the late Queen Elizabeth II, whose mother, the British monarch, has done so 68 years ago. Charles’ visit comes as President Trump repeatedly expressed his desire to annex Canada. Canada has become part of that attitude, a proposition that was violently rejected by Kearney, who won last month’s election. Charles has recently shown support for Canada, but the monarch is facing a tricky balancing act as British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer works to protect Trump over Ukraine’s trade ties.
Keeping up with the president’s crackdown at Harvard
Donald Trump said he wants “names and countries” for all international students enrolled at Harvard over the weekend.
He made a demand in the true social post after a federal judge blocked the Trump administration’s efforts to block universities from registering anyone in the US on student visas.

GOP Senator says Trump’s bill is not guaranteed
Sen. R-Wisconsin Sen. R-Johnson warned that there are enough GOP senators ready to block President Trump’s sweeping bills that have major consequences for taxes, Medicaid, food stamps and more. The bill was passed by the House of Representatives on May 22nd because there was only one vote. Several Republican senators are now warning the legislative price tag. It is expected to add about $3.3 trillion to the country’s deficit over the next decade, inflated federal debt. Trump is urging Republicans to line up along the good bill with some of the promises of the 2024 campaign, but some Senate conservatives aren’t convinced.
Do you know what the “cone of uncertainty” is?
Time to prepare for this year’s hurricane season begins well before the storm forms. Officials from the National Maritime and Atmospheric Administration said that the most dangerous storms could explode quickly, so understanding predictions, hurricane risks and preparations must be the best for residents before the storm forms. In other words, learning about the dangers of hurricanes is far beyond the famous “cone of uncertainty.” This is an introductory book to know that hurricane risks will increase in 2025.

Did the Internet hate or love Jlo’s kiss-off?
Jennifer Lopez’s American Music Awards dance number Extravaganza is certainly talking. The 55-year-old JLO opened AMA, surrounded by mirrors and dancers in science fiction and robotech “Multiverse.” The singer got “on the floor” with 23 mashups of the year, including “Squabble up” and “Good Luck Babe!” “Negation is the river.” And yes, she made it with three dancers. Social media has taken over Lopez’s kiss-off, roasting that number, especially among viewers who have been doing medleys of other people’s songs rather than their own.
