The Old Guard placed approximately 260,000 flags on the gravestones of service members and their families at Arlington National Cemetery for Memorial Day.
Monday is an anniversary. This is a day to commemorate those who died while serving in the US military.
Many national retailers, grocery stores and restaurant chains are open for anniversary, but banks and post offices will be closed.
If you need to make a quick final trip to the store to pick up something for a Memorial Day gathering, Costco is not an option for you this year.
Here are some things you need to know about other retail and grocery chains, and whether or not you’ll be open on Memorial Day.
