British police said the day after the Ukrainians were detained in the fire, they arrested the second person in connection with a series of arson attacks on property related to North London Prime Minister Kiel Starmer.
Police said in a statement Saturday that the 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to risk life at Luton airport in London, and listed the same case, including property related to priorities.
Roman Lovelinovich, a 21-year-old Ukrainian, was charged in Westminster Magistrate’s court on Friday with three arsons aimed at risking his life in three fires last week.
British police were called to flames last week at a facility in Kentish Town, north of London. There were no injuries, but the entrance to the house was damaged.
Lavrynovych was arrested the following day in connection with the fire and two more incidents. A fire will be carried out separately at the entrance to the nearby Islington apartment block and a fire that includes a Toyota RAV4 in Kentish Town.
The car and both property were linked in order of priority, the court heard. Police said counter-terrorism police led the investigation taking into account the involvement of such well-known public figures.
