The Illinois classic car collector was able to change his $2 million profit from scratch-off.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, stepped up to claim the award on May 5th, informing state lottery officials that they had purchased a $20 Megabucks ticket on a whim.

“It was a typical morning, just like everyone else — until it wasn’t,” he told the Illinois lottery. “On my way to work, I stopped by a gas station to buy some coffee. At check-out I decided to grab a scratch-off lottery ticket too.

The winner, who was unbelievable after snagging the ticket number, returned to the convenience store to scan the ticket “certainly.”

Even after the machine reached the same conclusion, he still couldn’t believe in his luck.

“More and more zeros started to appear, then the last $2,000,000 of $2,000,000 couldn’t believe it. I kept staring at the ticket. “The clerk came over and asked if something was wrong, so I must have been standing there for a while. So I showed her the ticket. She put on her glasses and screamed at first glance.”

The winner will use the prize money to buy the land, another vintage car

The classic car collector was to race at home to tell his wife, who was almost stunned when she heard the news.

“But when I did, she saw me like a nut! I ‘I just got two million dollars!” And at one point I thought she was going to pass out,” he told state lottery officials.

The winner plans to use the prize money to add another “beauty” to his classic car collection, and buy a few acres of land to store it “whenever you want to take a picture of Joyley.”

The owner of Lenny’s Gas n Wash in Shorewood, a suburb about 45 miles southwest of Chicago, was also able to bask in the glory of victory as he received $20,000 for selling a victory scratch ticket.
