The Baltimore Ravens released veteran kicker Justin Tucker on Monday after 13 seasons with the team.
“Deciding on football can be very difficult, and this is one example of that,” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement. “Given the current roster, we made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker.
“Justin has created many important and unforgettable moments in Ravens’ history. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience and extraordinary talent have made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade.
In last month’s NFL Draft, the Ravens chose kicker Tyler Loop from the University of Arizona in the sixth round.
According to Baltimore Banner, on the alleged incident between 2012 and 2016, Tucker is accused of inappropriate sexual misconduct by multiple massage therapists.
Tucker denied the accusation, calling it “shocking and heart-pounding.”
CNN reached out to Tucker’s representatives for comment.
On Sunday, coach John Harbaugh was asked about Tucker’s situation.
“From a research perspective, we don’t know anything. We’re not informed. “It’s all done in the way it is. So we don’t know anything along those lines, so we can’t make decisions based on that. Every decision we make must be based on football.”

The NFL told CNN on Monday it is still considering allegations against Tucker as part of the league’s personal policy of action.
Tucker signed with the Ravens as a rookie free agent in 2012, playing his entire career in Baltimore.
Known as one of the league’s best placekickers, Tucker owns a career field goal percentage (89.1%), making him the most accurate kicker in NFL history.
He won the Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens in 2013.
