NEW YORK – After nine innings of epic playoff baseball and one wild sprint around base passes, the New York Yankees survived and played all the games of their most bitter rivals and winners.

Jazz Chisholm scored a one-base run from the Yankees’ first base from the shallow right field of Austin Wells singles, and the Yankees eventually split the chord against the indomitable Boston Red Sox bullpen for a 4-3 victory at Yankee Stadium Octor.

No, it doesn’t have the same ring as Game 7. But the game 3 of this sprint of the playoff series – the winner goes to Toronto, the loser chooses between 3wood and the driver – it becomes a delicious theatre when the two meet in the Bronx on October 2nd.

But it’s a high order that meets this Donny Brook first two games.

In Game 2 it was Chisholm who saved the Yankees on either side of the ball.

After Game 1, after he was limited to the appearance of a ninth pinch hit, Chisholm, in a bench and grumpy mood, got off to a right-hander on the Boston hills, waiting until seven innings to affect the game.

The score tied to 3-3, with the two guys and the hero Masataka Yoshida of Game 1 wanted to repeat the pinch hit heroic from the previous night. No, he couldn’t abandon him at first, but Gold Globe Caliber Play kept the game level and loaded the base.

Barely: With RBI singles and two-run singles taking up all of Boston’s runs, Trevor Story sent the Red Sox to ALDS up to a 393-foot, 102-mph drive. But that’s where the ball dies at Yankee Stadium. Over innings.

After 2 1/3 innings, starter Brayan Bello was unlocked, the five Boston Relievers ran the Yankees once and dropped them on left fielder Jerrendulan with an Aaron Judge RBI single.

But manager Alex Cora wanted to get two innings from set-up ace Garrett Whitlock. He fell shyly to pull it apart.

Whitlock issued two walks to Chisholm, then engaged Wells in a full count battle. Wells won and lined up the pitch just below the first baseline. It drips down the oblique sidewall on a short right field and heads back towards the infield.

Chisholm did not break the stride and slid into the house for a long time, first sliding the 270-foot journey before Nate Eaton’s slow and Carlos Narveres tag.

The stadium exploded. David Bednar was constantly working in 9th place and his bet was set.

Yankee Thread Sox. The loser goes home.

On the eighth two outs, Boston reliever Garrett Whitlock walked Jazz Chisholm, with Austin Wells racing right field from the single, and Chisholm gaining a tag from the start, earning a tag on a head-first slide, taking New York a 4-3 lead and leaving three outs.

Rodon finishes after 91 pitches in six innings. He gave up three runs with four hits, walked three times and hit six times. After Nate Eaton walked, advanced to second on the wild pitch and hit Jaren Duran on the pitch, he was relieved at the seventh top by Fernando Cruz.

Cruz escaped the damage by retiring from Seddanne Rafaela and Nick Sogaard, but Rob Leffsnider’s pinch hit Yoshida had an infield single to load the bass before Trevor Story jumped out to deep center to finish the innings.

The Red Sox did not disappear, tying the score as Trevor Story sent a 2-0 slider from Carlos Rodon to the left field sheet, a 381-foot 2-0 slider for Homer in his second career postseason. Alex Bregman walked, but was erased when Romy Gonzalez grounded in a double play at the end of the inning.

After Anthony Volpe flew to center and Ryan McMahon grounded the pitcher to start the five innings, Trent Grisham went for a walk and finished second on Justin Slatin’s wild pitch. The rule of Justice Al MVP Aaron singled to the right and won Grisham to take a 3-2 lead to New York.

Boston starter Breyan Bello was replaced by the third one by left-handed Justin Wilson. Bello threw 28 pitches, allowing two earned runs with four hits, walked one and didn’t attack the batter. Wilson scored the final two outs of the frame, and the Yankees were stuck in second and third.

Boston gets equalizer on Story single

It was the third place that smoothly took over Carlos Rodon’s Boston lineup. After requiring six pitches to pass the second, Rodon allowed Jarrenduran to single, walking through Seddan nel Rafaela and loading the base by throwing an error first at the sacrifice of Nick Sogaard. Rob Refsnyder swings before the first two runs of single-plated Boston from Trevor Story.

After winning the first two batters on only five pitches, Brayan Bello allowed the single to Cody Bellinger, then provided a 95 mph sinker that didn’t sink to Ben Rice, who placed it on the right field pouch to give New York an early lead.

Carlos Rodon deals early and hits the story of Rob Levsnider and Trevor before Alex Bregman jumps left to finish the innings. Rodon only needed 15 pitches from the start. 11 was a strike.

New York – Chisholm returned to the starting lineup and finished sixth due to a must-see game 2 wildcard with the Red Sox. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said he saw Chisholm’s reaction after a loss in Match 1 when he spoke to reporters.

“All players don’t agree with every decision I make,” Boone said. “I try to make them understand my thought process and what I think.

“I did it with jazz. He’s a guy with emotions on his sleeves. So that wasn’t necessarily the way I handled it, but I don’t need him to have a happy face.
