While most of the attention surrounding Swift’s appearance to the “New Heights” podcast focused on his relationship with Travis Kelce, the pop star also pointed out his excitement at the 2024 NFL Draft. Specifically, Swift detailed the uplifting of Xavier Worthy’s choice in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 28th overall pick.
On Tuesday, Worthy responded to a virus clip.
“That’s crazy,” Worthy said. “I’m not going to lie. She’s the biggest pop star of this generation, so someone runs around the house and says, ‘We’ve drafted you!”
This pick was only possible after the Chiefs traded it for the Buffalo Bills.
“I’ve become like someone running through the halls of a house that drafted a draft worthy of Xavier,” Swift said.
Kelse was a non-believers at first, but said he wasn’t sure if Swift had the correct information.
“I forget where I was, but you were the first to tell me that you drafted the fastest man in the draft,” Kelce said.
Chiefs fans were given many reasons to be happy with their choices, and their latest super fans weren’t wasted time joining the crowd.
“I’m getting crazy,” added Swift.
Worthy certainly proved to be a solid addition to his rookie year Kansas City offense. He has 742 scrimmage yards and 79 touches with nine touchdowns.
Heading into his second season, the former Texas star is looking to build an impressive newcomer year. After all, he’s doing it with one of the world’s biggest celebrities in his corner.
