Trump begins lobbying senators for his tax bill
The legislative agenda for President Donald Trump’s second term is set to prepare for a four-week sprint, so they try to pass something that can pass through the narrow edge of the house and sign the law to the president’s desk for signing.
It’s not easy. Like the House, there are fiscal conservatives in the Senate, worried that the bill will be added to the federal deficit, and moderates who are problematic about the potential impact on Medicaid health insurance.
- Red Blues: Several senators say they are worried about the large price tag for legislation. The Non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimates the bill will add more than $3 trillion to federal debt over the next decade, and has already won $362 trillion in debt.
- Musk is incited flames. Tesla’s CEO argues that the legal price tag undermines the work of leading the government’s efficiency cost-cutting project.
- Meanwhile, healthcare in America is: A new analysis shows that around 11 million Americans will lose health insurance coverage under Trump’s bill, and experts say uninsured people could delay care and create more medical debt.

Family scramble to find answers with their loved ones after a massive ice raid in Florida
Family and friends of more than 100 construction workers say they are struggling to find a loved one, after being detained in what was considered Florida’s biggest immigration attack this year. Some of the workers were sent to immigration and customs enforcement facilities in Baker County, while some workers went to Chrome Detention Center in Miami. Others were soon flying to El Paso, Texas, and as of June 3rd they were still waiting for removal. And some are already in Mexico. Just five days after being detained, he is driving a bus away from the scene in Tallahassee. However, others are still silent, and their friends and family await their calls with concern.
Trump bans Harvard University from recognizing new international students
In an executive order issued Wednesday, President Trump declared that the admission of Harvard international students poses a threat to the United States. With his new order, Trump listed a string of complaints against the university. He accused it of failing to protect Jewish students from pro-Palestinian protesters. He also noted that Harvard has long used races as a factor in enrollment, saying that in 2023 the Supreme Court began to break down race-based admissions policies across the country. Trump’s order applies to new students arriving to study at Harvard University, asking Secretary of State Marco Rubio to consider whether to cancel the visa for current international students
