After a historic performance, Dallas Wings star Page Bookers heads out to face the Washington Mystic on June 28th due to a right knee injury.
This is the fifth game that the 2025 No. 1 overall pick will miss this season. The Bueckers missed three games in the first half of the season and played in another game due to illness as she was participating in the WNBA concussion protocol.
The Bueckers scored 27 points on June 27 in a 94-86 defeat to Caitlin Clark-Less Indiana Fever. Clark missed the final two No. 1 pick matches due to a gro caliber injury.

In addition to 27 points against the heat, Bueckers added six assists, two steels and two blocks. She became the first player in WNBA history to record the game with over 25 points, over 5 assists, two plus steel, two plus blocks and zero turnovers.
The Bueckers shot 18-for-9 from the field, making two of their three-point attempts and knocking down all seven free throws.
In the season, with 46.1% shooting from the field in 13 games, the Bueckers averaged 18.4 points, 5.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals. She was the No. 1 overall pick in the April WNBA draft after leading UConn to the 12th national title and winning her first title since 2016.

Dallas coach Chris Cochrans provided an update on the Bueckers’ injuries ahead of his match against Washington on June 28th.
“Just preventative measures,” Cochrans said of Bookers’ injuries. “It’s painful. We have due diligence to manage what’s best for her long-term health.”
