Will car prices “crash”?

good morning! I’m Daniel de Visse for Daily Money, filling in for Betty Lynn Fisher on Consumer Friday.

Keith Lane reports that President Donald Trump is rolling back federal emissions standards to lower sticker prices for car buyers, vowing that prices will soon “crash.”

With this pledge in mind, the USA TODAY Cars team looked at what happened to car prices the last time President Trump lowered federal fuel efficiency standards, and what car buyers can expect this time around.

Is the Social Security Fairness Act unfair?

Last year, the Social Security Fairness Act increased Social Security benefits for public servants who already receive pensions.

Some lawmakers are now arguing that the act itself is unfair.
