Baby Escalade brings the energy and advanced features of heavy trucks to medium-sized SUVs

The question isn’t whether buyers will love Cadillac’s six-seater 2026 Vistiq Electric Luxury SUV. They will.
The question is why it took Cadillac decades to build this baby escalade. Parking and steering urban traffic is easier than the massive original, but it still packs the luxury, technology and pure presence that makes Escalade the icon. Perhaps the most successful and important vehicle in Cadillac’s 122-year history.
Injecting the essence of the Escalade into vehicles with a more capacity medium-sized SUV segment seems obvious in retrospect, but Cadillac never tried. It built a smaller SUV, some very good, but nothing approached the escalade status and sw walking.
Honestly, who cares? Currently caught up in Cadillac dealers, Vistik is very naturally suited to the brand, so asking if the cheapest Monday morning quarterbacking is this cheap. If you didn’t have an idea, you can’t call other people late to not think about it earlier.
The key is that it arrived with bravery, power and pure weight that makes the escalade – and it is impossible to ignore in a crowded market with gorgeous and electric SUVs.
Built in Spring Hill, Tennessee, the Vistiq is now on sale. Prices range from $77,395 to $96,495, excluding the $1,695 destination fee.

What makes Vistiq special?
Cadillac is making a big bet on EVs. They have accounted for 23% of sales so far this year, reaching a 35% target by the end of the year.

Large battery, good range, low charging transparency
A medium-sized, three-row SUV with six or seven seats, the Vistiq plays in one of the most popular vehicle segments.
All-wheel drive from a pair of electric motors is standard. It generates 615 hp and 650 pound-feet of torque and blows up the SUV to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.
The 102 kWh battery offers a range of up to 305 miles.
Cadillac continues to refuse to quantify battery capacity from “10%-80% to XX minutes” which is commonly used by GMs to charge DC speeds and are easy to understand, but Vistiq’s batteries can accept 190kW currents and add “up to 79 miles in about 10 minutes.”
It is possible that GMs are acting in good faith, and simple mathematics suggests that 10%-80% can be achieved within 30 minutes. There is not enough reason not to announce it.

When reality is not sufficient
The advanced new augmented reality system projects navigation information including arrows floating in front of Vistiq to indicate turns and projects alerts. The new optics create a display that appears to be projected in the 10-meter space in front of the Vistiq, making them more clearly effective than previous AR systems.
The Vistiq is one of a handful of vehicles to reduce road noise and suspension from the tires using active noise cancellation. Its electric drivetrain is especially welcome considering it eliminates many sounds and vibrations that hide the noise of internal combustion vehicles.

Drive impressions
The Vistiq drives like a small vehicle. That’s a very good thing. This is a very good thing, especially for vehicles that can comfortably carry 6-7 adults. Optional 4-wheel steering tightens the running radius and allows for quick and stable operation at highway speeds. Packaged with 4WS (four-wheel steering), the air suspension smooths rough surfaces and effectively eliminates body roll, squats and diving with enthusiastic driving.
And it’s difficult not to drive enthusiastically with a vehicle that combines essentially quiet EV operation with active road noise cancellation and lots of acoustic insulation.
Vistiq’s smooth and quiet advancement allows you to underestimate speed. GM’s advanced super cruise hands-free driving system will be attractive, regardless of how quiet and smooth your vistiq is, to maintain the speed of your choice, as well as driver comfort.
Elegant and advanced interior
The interior is spacious and comfortable, with materials such as carbon fiber and open-pore wood. Highlights include metal inlays in wooden trim, ambient lighting and woven accent fabrics made from recycled ingredients. The 23-speaker audio system has a gem pattern metal grill.
The instrument panel has a 33-inch continuous screen for display and controls, and ultimately streams the video when parked and charged. Another touchscreen handles climate, infotainment and other features, including apps from the Google Play Store.
There are convenient luggage and cargo compartments. The third row of seats provides adult legroom when the second row moves forward.

What’s good?
The touchscreen is not fully responding to some features, such as wood support and other adjustments to seat features.
Polarized sunglasses significantly reduce the vision of your augmented reality display.
GM makes third-party apps available through the Google operating system and uses other Android smartphone features, but car manufacturers’ EVs do not allow Apple Carplay, complicating the use of smartphones that some drivers are familiar with.

It is compatible on roads and parking thanks to well-tuned steering and suspension.
