Lawmakers demand full disclosure of Epstein files from Justice Department
Representatives Ro Khanna, Thomas Massie, and Marjorie Taylor Greene have called on Republicans in Congress and the Justice Department to release the entire Epstein file.
Rep. Thomas Massie fired back this week after President Donald Trump appeared to criticize the Kentucky Republican’s recent marriage, accusing him of “trying to be a bully.”
President Trump asked whether Massey was “already married” in a post on Truth Social on Friday, Nov. 14, saying, “His wife will soon find herself in a relationship with a loser!” Massey married Carolyn Moffa, a former congressional staffer to Sen. Rand Paul, last month. Mr. Massey’s late wife, Rhonda Massey, passed away in June 2024. The two were married for more than 30 years.
Mr. Massey and Mr. Trump have been at loggerheads in recent days after Representative Ro Khanna, D-Calif., a Kentucky lawmaker, introduced a bill that would force the Justice Department to release the full government files on sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The Trump administration opposes the move.
But when Massey was asked about Trump’s comments during an interview on ABC’s “This Week” on Nov. 16, he joked that his wife said, “I should have invited Donald Trump. I’m upset he didn’t get an invitation.”
“We discount that,” Massey said. “He’s either a bully or trying to be a bully.”
In the interview, Massey also noted Trump’s support for a Republican opponent running against a Kentucky lawmaker in the 2026 midterm elections.
“We’re winning,” Massey said. “Not only the Speaker, but the attorney general, the FBI director, the president himself, and the vice president are all at a huge loss this week, because after months of fighting, I have a victory this week with Mr. Ro Khanna. We are pushing for this vote, and it will happen,” he said of his push, known as the removal petition.
Massey and Trump’s ongoing feud is not the first time they have publicly broken up. For example, in June, President Trump slammed Massi over his criticism of U.S. airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.
