Publix will open six new stores by the end of September
Publix, a supermarket chain based in Lakeland, Florida, is opening six new locations in five US states as part of its expansion plan.

Nordstrom plans to expand its footprint with 12 new stores opening in seven states in September and October.
According to Nordstrom’s future opening page, the new store is expected to open between September 18th and October 30th this year.
The past year has been a transformational one for Nordstrom. In December 2024, the company was acquired by Nordstrom’s family and Mexican department store chain El Puerto Deliveryrpool for $62.5 billion.
The Nordstrom family owns 50.1% and Liverpool accounts for the other 49.9%, with deals finally closed in the first half of this year, according to the company.
The chain closed two locations this summer in St. Louis Galleria, Missouri, and the other at Santa Monica Place, Santa Monica, California.
