Powerball Players Reveal a Billion Dollar Dream

The latest Powerball winner secures the second largest lottery jackpot in US history.
As of Saturday, September 6th, Powerball jackpots can range in maximum of $1.8 billion, hours before the following drawings begin at 10:59 PM ET.
Of the top 10 lottery jackpots in US history, five won the Powerball tickets, while the other five were Mega Million drawings. Eight of the top 10 drawings of the last decade have happened. The other two were held in 2016 and 2018.
According to Powerball, the chances of victory are very low, but if history is any indication, some states may tend to stoop out winners more than others.
Where did you win the biggest lottery?
The biggest lottery jackpot ever was a massive $2.04 billion award in the November 7, 2022 painting.
California winner Edwin Castro purchased tickets from Joe’s service center in Altadena, California, near Los Angeles. Castro bought a $25.5 million home in Hollywood Hills after winning a $997.6 million prize before taxes.
In addition to Castro, three of the top 10 winners were sold in California.

How to buy a Powerball ticket
Tickets are available for sale at convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores and other locations for around $2. In addition to the 45 states, tickets are also available in Puerto Rico, Washington, DC, and the US Virgin Islands. Some states sell Powerball tickets online.
To purchase tickets, players must select six numbers with five white balls and one red power ball. White balls range from 1 to 69, while red balls range from 1 to 26. All five white balls must be in any order, and the Red Powerball must match the number of victory.
