Foodies can celebrate Tuesday’s Taco National Taco Day rolling around this year.

National Taco Day is observed on Tuesday, October 7th this year, but it has not fallen all the time on Tuesday.

In 2024, the National Day Calendar, which tracks celebration dates, moved National Taco Day from October 4th to the first Tuesday of October.

While it may seem like an obvious choice to celebrate the day on Tuesday for the popular “Taco Tuesday” deal, there was a pushback to the legitimate ownership of Alliteration.

This year, that means National Taco Day is Tuesday, October 7th.

Before 2024, National Taco Day was celebrated on October 4th each year, regardless of how many days passed. However, Taco Bell pushed to move the day only on Tuesday.

“We learned about the magic of the National Day Calendar and insisted that we would drive one of the biggest taco holidays of the year to always land on the best tacos of the year. And now we can celebrate this year’s Tacos National Taco Day.

However, before making any changes, the “Taco Tuesday” trademark had to be released for use by owner Taco John’s.

The company has allowed all restaurants to use it to “sell, sell, eat and celebrate tacos” as Taco Bell abandoned the semester’s trademark in July 2023 after it launched an online petition to release its “Taco Tuesday” trademark.
