“This fight is not something that I thought or could happen either the world or the other, or the other,,” Tyson said in a press release. “But boxing has entered a new era of unpredictable people, and this battle is unpredictable.
“I can’t believe Floyd really wants to do this. It’s going to be harmful to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!”
Each of the two fighters was one of the most successful fighters in the ring of their respective eras.
Tyson holds a 50-7 overall record with 44 wins coming with knockouts. He also came from knockouts of five of his seven losses. Tyson arrived in the ring on November 24th, 2024, losing to Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
