President Donald Trump said he plans to deliver a live prime-time address to the nation on the night of December 17, as the year draws to a close.
President Trump announced the plan on the social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday, Dec. 16, but did not say what he would talk about.
“I look forward to seeing you again,” the Dec. 16 post reads. “This has been a great year for our country, and the best is yet to come!”
President Trump recently began a speaking tour focused on the economy, but he caused a bit of a stir last week when he mocked what he called the “affordability hoax” during a speech in the battleground state of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. The cost of living has become a hot topic of late, with Democrats accusing Trump of worsening a “price crisis” despite his campaign promise to reduce the cost of living from “day one” in office.
