What is Trump’s approval rating? Polls found Charlie Kirk’s murder to be prominent

Date:

America’s satisfaction with how things have been going in the US since President Donald Trump took office has slipped to that lowest point, according to a September poll from Gallup.

A poll conducted between September 2 and 16 found 29% of Americans said they were happy, with Republicans making up the majority of the decline from 31% in August. Satisfaction is higher than 20% in January before Trump took office.

The murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk occurred while polls were underway, and Gallup found that he was squeezing American opinions, especially for Republicans.

“The most important issue facing this country… mentions of crime or violence have more than doubled in the past month, rising from 3% in August to 8% in September. Since August 2020, it is the highest level before 2002,” Gallup reported.

Crime mentions have largely increased since September 10th. This is the day Kirk was shot dead in front of thousands at a Utah Valley University speaking event. “National Unity” has also been discovered by Gallup that the concerns are also being raised, which have been mentioned at the highest percentage since January 2021, following the riots at the U.S. Capitol.

Gallup has remained stable in Trump’s approval rate compared to Ocobter while complaints about the country are rising. What is it?

Trump’s approval rating is lower than other presidents

Gallup polls conducted between September 2 and 16 approved 40% of Trump’s job performance, which had not changed since the previous month.

Historical analysis by Gallup shows that Trump’s first September office approval rating – both the 45th and 47th presidents are lower than any other modern president at the same time in his administration. According to Gallup, his September approval is a way that is compared to other presidents in September in the first year of his term.

  • Joe Biden (September 2021) – 43% approval
  • Trump (September 2017) – 37% approved
  • Barack Obama (September 2009) – 52% approval
  • George W. Bush (September 2001) – 76% approval
  • Bill Clinton (September 1993) – 50% approval
  • George HW Bush (September 1989) – 70% approval
  • Ronald Reagan (September 1981) – 52% approval

Gallup surveyed 1,000 US adults with an error of either positive or negative 4 percentage points.

What is the average overall approval for Trump?

The RealClearpolitics poll average shows the gap between those who disapprove Trump and those who approve him. The time graph in The New York Times shows a similar trend.

As of January 27th, Trump received a +6.2 percentage points approval rating, but as of March 13th, it reversed slightly negatively, and there is no show for RealClearpolitics graphics.
