Elon Musk officially leaves the Trump administration
Elon Musk is leaving the Trump administration after he allocated 130 days for the “special government officials” to end.
New details about Elon Musk’s relationship with Ketamine emerged just days after the tech entrepreneur announced his departure from the White House.
According to a report by the New York Times, Musk may have previously used ketamine frequently on President Donald Trump’s campaign trails, using “small amounts” and “small amounts.”
Musk previously mentioned in March 2024 in an hour-long interview with former CNN host Don Lemon, using the drug as a medical prescription to treat depression.
He is not the only famous person who has used ketamine. The late actor Matthew Perry had been using ketamine under the care of a doctor to treat depression, but the levels of ketamine in his system at the time of his death in October 2023 were not associated with his final infusion. Other celebrities who used the substance include Chrissy Teigen and Sharon Osborne.

What is ketamine?
According to the US Drug Enforcement Agency, ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic with several hallucinogenic effects.
It binds to the NDMA receptor and is essentially a “stop” signal. It starts to interfere with the connection between your brain and your body.
Effects are dose dependent, but generally lead to a sense of “disconnection” from you, your person, and your body. Symptoms range from unconscious (as used in general anesthesia) to “in vitro” experiences and hallucinations.
Is ketamine legal?
Ketamine is a legal drug and is used as an injectable, short-acting anesthetic for use in humans and animals, says DEA.
According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, the brand name Escamine with the brand name Spravato, and the brand name Escamine with the brand name Spravato is FDA approved as a nose spray to treat depression in adults. Ketamine is used off-labeled in dozens of U.S. clinics to treat other mental health conditions, such as anxiety, in combination with talk therapy.
However, most ketamine distributed in the US is illegally carried out in accordance with the DEA. It is often diverted or stolen from legitimate sources such as veterinary clinics, or smuggled into the country.
Ketamine is classified by the institution as a Schedule III drug and indicates a substance that has a “moderate to low chance of physical and psychological dependence.”
Short and long-term effects of ketamine
Short-term side effects of ketamine use can include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, strange or “loopy”, difficulties, numbness, blurry visual or nausea.
Long-term use of ketamine is associated with memory problems, depression and anxiety. This drug can also cause gastrointestinal problems, abdominal pain commonly known as “k-clamps”, and urinary tract disorders. This is a blockage of the urinary tract that can lead to an infection or UTI.
