Multiple reports say that 62-year-old former UFC fighter Randy Couture was airlifted to Burn Center in the Kansas City area on Tuesday after a crash on a stock car truck.
He is expected to recover in full, his spokesman told MMA Junkie.
Couture was recently preparing to make his National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) debut this year. Couture has been a motorcycling enthusiast for a long time and was beginning to win competitive licenses in the hopes of racing stock cars in official races by the end of 2025.

Couture suffered from first and second degree burns, other trauma-related injuries and inhalation of smoke.
It is unknown why it actually caused the crash.

Couture looked excited about the pro race prospects. In his Instagram video from June, the couture was seen in a kitting vehicle getting an experience behind the wheels.
Couture said: “This is a new way to tickle the competitive spirit I had for most of my life. It’s a new place to get competitive and mark in the race.”

Couture is a legend in the world of martial arts, winning the UFC Championship in two different weight classes during his career. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2006.
