The Wendy’s teamed up with the hit Netflix show “Wednesday” with a new meal that the chain calls “the pure punishment of the bag.”
Limited time meals have been announced – you guessed it – WednesdayJuly 23rd will focus on four mystery sauces called “Dips of Dread,” “10 Piece Nuggets,” small “Cursed & Crispy” French fries, and a new frosty flavour called “Raven’s Blood.” According to Wendy’s, all items will be delivered in custom packages.
The meal, called “Meal of Misfortune,” coincides with the release of “Wednesday” season 2 on Netflix. The show will be in two parts. Part 1 will premiere at 3am ET on August 6th, and Part 2 will be available at 3am ET on September 3rd.
When and where can I get a meal on Wednesday?
According to Wendy’s, the items will be made at the restaurant via Wendy’s app starting Monday, August 4th. In Canada, customers will be able to dine from Monday, August 11th through the restaurant or via the Wendy app.
The fast food chain said the unhappy meals are also available in Wendy locations in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and Guam.
“Wendy and Wednesday are both cultural icons renowned for their challenging conventions with wit and a bit of suspension,” Liz Gerati, International Chief Marketing Officer at Wendy’s Company, said in a news release. “This is not a typical collaboration. Not any brand can plan a misfortune meal with Adams on Wednesday. But for a bold brand that proudly enthralled with customers and not proud, it was a match made in dark, dry heaven.”
Fans have already gotten on social media to document their journey of waiting hours for meals at a restaurant in Norwalk, California, where last week held a special drive-thru event.
What kind of sauce is “Horror Dip”?
Wendy’s said two mystery dipping sauces are in each meal, adding that customers will receive “what of the four dips do destiny decide?”
Four flavors are called.
- Hyde cannot be done
- This will be stabbed
- A serious mistake
- There are no miserable places
“Don’t ask what sources you will get. You have to give in to your destiny. You have to endure multiple visits with enough courage to try them all,” Wendy said in a news release.
