Peanut butter recall extends to 40 states
More than 20,000 Ventura-brand peanut butter products have been recalled in 40 states due to the risk of plastic contamination.
Vinegar sold on Amazon is being recalled due to the risk of fatal poisoning if ingested, according to a notice posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website.
According to the notice, Jolie’s 80% Vinegar was sold through Amazon from May 2025 to November 2025 for about $23. The product comes in a clear bottle with a white cap and an orange and red label with the “Joly’s” branding and white text reading “80% Vinegar” and “Diluted to 5 Gallons.”
The CPSC says there are no additional markings on the containers.
The CPSC warns that “this product violates the precautionary labeling requirements under the Federal Toxic Substances Act because the vinegar lacks required labeling and first aid instructions.”
According to the notice, there is a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed, and if mishandled can cause serious injuries including chemical burns to the skin and eyes.
The notice states that approximately 450 units of the product are part of the recall. As of February 20th, no accidents or injuries related to this product have been reported.
What should I do with the recalled vinegar? How do I get a refund?
According to the notice, consumers should immediately move the recalled vinegar out of sight and reach of children and contact Jolly’s for a full refund and disposal instructions.
Affected consumers are asked to email jolysllc@gmail.com with a photo of the product in its original packaging and “RECALLLED” printed on the container.
Joly’s can be reached at 240-412-8720, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
