A new analysis of polls compiled by The New York Times shows that U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval ratings, which have remained relatively stable through the deployment of the National Guard, unprecedented tariffs and the delayed release of the Epstein files, have declined slightly.

In a statement, the White House blamed former President Trump for ongoing economic problems.
“Fixing Joe Biden’s economic crisis was President Trump’s first day priority. From striking historic drug price deals to securing tax cuts for the working class, every member of the Trump administration is doing their part to provide economic relief to Americans,” said Khush Desai, Trump’s press secretary. “While there is still more work to be done, Americans can rest assured that the same policies that produced a historic economy during President Trump’s first term will repeat their success in his second term.”
A Times analysis found support has declined among political independents and college-educated white men.
The new poll on President Trump’s approval ratings comes on the heels of a Gallup poll marking his lowest rating in his second term.
A Gallup poll conducted Nov. 3-25 found that 36% of people approve of President Trump’s job performance, down from 41% in October. That’s close to Trump’s all-time low approval rating of 34% in 2021, near the end of his first term after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, according to Gallup.
President Trump’s approval rating declined not only among Democrats but also among Republicans and independents. Republican approval ratings have fallen from 91% during President Trump’s second term (84%). President Trump’s approval rating among independents was 25%, down from 33% in October. Democratic President Trump’s approval rating was 3%, down from 6% last month.
