Trump White House prepares for a layoff for the looming government closure

A memo from the Administration shows the latest clash between Trump and Congressional Democrats over federal spending after roughly 300,000 workers left the government this year

WASHINGTON – The White House is asking federal agencies to prepare plans for mass shootings if the government is partially shut down next week, and the latest clash in the high-stakes conflict between President Donald Trump and Congressional Democrats partially shut down.

Federal workers have traditionally been paid after temporary debris, but Congress settles funding disputes. However, the solution is invisible and the partial shutdown looming on October 1st has outlined this tough approach.

“Programs that did not benefit from the infusion of mandatory expenditures will bear the brunt of the shutdown,” the memo said.

House Republicans approved the law on September 19, which aimed to expand current funds until November 21st. The goal was to give lawmakers time to approve the funding law for the entire fiscal year.

But Senate Democrats have blocked approval of the Room bill, which requires a 60 vote majority to overcome the filibuster and requires a 60 vote majority to allow Republicans to have a 53-47 majority. Democrats have lost looming cuts to Medicaid and Obamacare subsidies that Republicans say will add $1 trillion to their spending for a decade.

Democrats accused Trump of planning a “mass shooting”

Additional layoffs will already come on roughly 300,000 federal workers this year from a 2.4 million-member workforce. Approximately 154,000 workers are scheduled to accept the acquisition and leave government salaries on September 30th, with others fired after Trump demolishing the federal agency.

Congressional Democratic leaders — Senator Chuck Schumer of New York and Rev. Hakem Jeffrey of New York — asked to meet with Trump last week, but he declined on September 23, calling their demands unrealistic.

“This is an attempt to intimidate,” Schumer said in a statement. “Donald Trump has been firing federal workers since day one. He’s scared, not governing.”

Jeffries told Virginians who voted for governor in November and voted where many federal workers live, he remembers what Trump is doing.

“Donald Trump and the Maga militants are planning to fire massive shots of federal workers starting October 1,” Jeffries said in a September 24 social media post.

The White House calls democratic spending demands “unusual.”

The Management and Budget Memo Office characterized democratic demands as “crazy” and “partisan.”

“So, if Democrats choose to pursue it, it’s more important than ever that the administration is prepared for shutdown,” the memo said. “Programs that did not benefit from forced infusions of spending will bear the brunt of the closure and must continue planning efforts if Democrats decide to shut down the government.”

The memo argued that federal programs that were not required by the statute or otherwise were no longer necessary for the expiration of the expenditure law. The memo said agents should use the opportunity to “see the discretionary program workforce reduction, alternative sources of funding, or “not in line with the president’s priorities.”
