“I’ve never heard of silence, but this loud volume” may be the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s song “Story of Us,” but it could serve as the theme for this week’s episode of “New Heights.”
Singer’s fiance Travis Kelse avoided sharing almost every detail about his engagement, from the wedding date to the invitation of a bachelor’s degree, but he and his brother spent seven minutes at the top of the episode.
“Thank you, and I would like to thank everyone who reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that was going on,” Travis said. “It was really fun telling everyone I was going to spend the rest of my life together.”
The brothers joked about the difference between saying “girlfriend” and “fiance.” Jason cited comedian John Mulanie. Travis admitted that the shift hit him in his alma mater’s season opening game at Arrowhead Stadium on August 28th.
“100% of the time I actually felt that in the game,” Travis said. “It was my first time introducing Taylor to some of my teammates as my fiancé. …I’m still a whim. It’s an exciting time. It’s still fresh.”
As Jason tried to press more, Travis collided.
“Bachelor’s degree, man. How do you know that a bachelor’s degree is coming?” he laughed. “I didn’t think about it for a moment.”
When Jason asked if “Intern Brandon” or social media producer Jake Chatsky was invited to the wedding, Travis said:

Travis’ dad, Ed Kelse, did not hesitate to share behind the scenes details shortly after the engagement posts were viewed by millions. Ed revealed to ABC Affiliate in Cleveland that Travis had proposed to the Kansas City Estate shortly after recording “New Heights” on Swift.
Ed said he and Taylor’s father Scott Swift both provided advice on how to make the moment special.
“You can do that on the side of the road, you can do something where you can make it a special event,” Ed said.
