Mark Ballas fans reenact Yum Yum’s ‘traitor’ murders with pets
‘Traitor’ Fans Are Bringing Back Pets That Recreate Yum Yum Arocho’s Dramatic Traitor Elimination In Viral Trend.
WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for the season 4 finale of “Traitor.”
Time heals all wounds, but Rob Rausch and Maura Higgins are proving that designer bags can certainly speed up that process.
After their shocking and shocking betrayal in the Season 4 finale of The Traitors, the two were left feeling whole again, and the moment quickly became etched in reality TV history. The Love Island alums were the final of 23 contestants to compete on the murder mystery competition series after relying on each other throughout the season.
Higgins had absolute confidence that Rausch, her closest ally, was also loyal, and repeatedly silenced any suspicions raised. The camera zoomed in on her expression of shock, hurt and anger as Alabama’s snake charmer revealed that she had been a traitor throughout the game and that her instincts ultimately betrayed her.
Maura Higgins: ‘I totally couldn’t believe it’ during ‘Traitors’ season finale
“You can clearly see it on screen. I went through every emotion under the sun. I was in complete disbelief. I was shocked. Then I got angry, then I looked sad, and then I just forgave,” Higgins told USA TODAY before clarifying. “I will never forgive you until I get my Birkin.”
Mr. Rausch promised to buy her a present, and Mr. Higgins said he would settle for nothing more than a Hermès Birkin handbag as a consolation prize. So she sent him a photo of the exact fashion accessory she had chosen, complete with a prize tag, which Rausch refused to disclose. (Birkin bags typically cost between $13,500 and more than $300,000.)
With the help of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna’s connections, Rausch confirmed the bag would be coming, and Higgins teased its impending reveal on Instagram.
“I’m not mad. Well, I know it’s just a game…and I’m proud of myself. I’m really, really proud of myself for taking it with grace,” she says. “He did his job very well. His job was to manipulate the believers, and he crushed it.”
Rob Roush’s girlfriend saw ‘Traitor’
In the finale, Higgins told Rausch that he was “never going to have a girlfriend after this,” pointing out how clever his lie was. Rausch later joked to the camera that she would like to start a romance with someone who doesn’t watch much TV.
Rausch told USA TODAY that he and his new girlfriend watched several episodes together and that she enjoyed the season. He denied that she had trust issues, even though he had seen her in an Academy Award-worthy performance as a traitor.
“I think people who really know me and my character don’t have to worry about things like that,” he says.
He certainly played the cool guy who was just having a good time, but people who actually knew him wouldn’t have been surprised to see him succeed in the game. “I’m pretty good at the game,” he says.
Will Rob Roush also compete on ‘Survivor’ and win it all?
Despite being a reality TV personality, he says he used to watch old seasons of “Survivor,” though he’s not a particular fan of the genre.
“I always thought I could win on ‘Survivor.’ That’s the only reality show I watched when I was younger. I watched some of the older seasons, and I was like, ‘Dude, I can kill this.’ “I think I can win the show,” he says.
Although he has proven himself to be a physical, strategic and social competitor who can win games like “Survivor,” he is concerned that his strong performance on “Traitor” has exposed his threat level, suggesting he is likely to be voted out.
He wants to play in a “Survivor All-Star” type season so he can fit in.
Eric Nam recruits Maura Higgins for song about Rob Rausch
Higgins wasn’t the only one who felt betrayed in this series. In the final three, Rausch voted out fellow traitor Eric Nam and recruited him to join his ranks.
In the series, Rausch said he had no intention of splitting $200,000 with someone he just met a few days ago, but now he tells USA TODAY, “We’ll be fine.”
In an Instagram post on Feb. 28, the pop singer praised Rausch for giving a whole new meaning to her new song “How the Fire Started.” Higgins, Roush, and other Traitors castmates Natalie Anderson, Ron Funches, and Yum Yum Aroncho appear in the song’s music video.
He says it’s the least Rausch can do after betraying him at the last minute. Nam also revealed that after the series ended, Rausch sent him a direct message saying, “It’s my fault, G,” to which Nam replied, “It’s okay.”
“People always ask, ‘Would I have turned against Rob?’ No, I’m not that person. If I trust you, I trust you. And if you say one thing, I believe you,” Nam says. “Rob and I were out until like 6 a.m. the other day…we were fine. But for the purposes of this song, I hate him.”
Nam also joked that she would like a Rolex “if Maura ever gets a Birkin from Rausch.”
What’s next for the cast of “Traitor”?
Nam, a beloved South Korean singer, was hoping that participating in “The Traitors” would help her become known to mainstream American audiences. Currently, he is continuing his momentum and working on various upcoming projects.
He will voice the main character in the upcoming animated film Avatar: The Last Airbender, star in a Paramount romance, and will also appear in the feature film Loser, starring Julia Fox and Lucas Gage.
“I hope this is the start of different avenues where people can see what I’m doing and follow me,” he added.
Higgins is far from done with Hollywood, teasing “stimulating conversations with some of the biggest executives and producers in the world of screenwriting.”
As for Rausch, given his reputation as a polarizing Love Island fanatic and now the winner of the Emmy-winning reality series, he’s looking forward to stepping away from the spotlight and returning to his home state of Alabama to live as private a life as possible.
“Spring is coming,” he says. “It’s almost here. I can’t wait to enjoy it with my friends and family.”
