Oreo Maker sues Aldi over suspected copycat package
Oreo Maker and Snack giant Mondelez are suing grocery chain Aldi over allegations that the chain’s store-branded products are “blatantly copying” famous cookies.
No Brands – News Value
After years of asking and asking, Oreo fans can be pleased as blueberry pie-flavored Oreo cookies are finally back.
On Thursday, June 26th, Oreo announced that the blueberry Pioreo was back on the shelf for the first time since 2017. Oreo cookies feature two graham cracker-flavored cookies squeezed together with blueberry-flavored cream, and are restricted to shops around the country soon.
According to a press release from the company, Blueberry Pie Flavor is one of the “top 5 flavors” of the brand that social media fans mentioned. The company said the cookies were on the shelves on July 7th.
For those who cannot wait for their return, advance cookies will be held on June 30th, with registration periods open from Thursday until June 29th.
Other nostalgic tastes to make a comeback
Oreo is not the only brand that gives people what they want.
Retro Diet Cherry Coke will be available for purchase with a limited period that will begin later this summer.
Soda will only be available at Kroger family stores starting in mid-July.
Diet Cherry Coke was first introduced in the US in 1986, according to Coke Solutions, a website run by Coca-Cola. By 2018 it had been wiped out of retailers, according to an archived page on the Coca-Cola website.
