WATCH: Police body camera footage of Tiger Woods’ car crash and arrest
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has released footage of Tiger Woods’ court appearance, DUI test, and arrest following a March 27, 2026 car crash in Jupiter Island, Florida.
Tiger Woods’ private jet landed in Zurich, Switzerland, on Friday, April 3, marking a possible location for the player to seek treatment after his DUI arrest in Florida, according to multiple reports.
It’s unclear whether Woods was on the plane that landed. However, his application for treatment abroad was approved on April 1, according to court records.
Woods was arrested by Martin County sheriff’s deputies on March 27 on Jupiter Island, Florida, after he overturned in a two-vehicle crash. He was later released on $1,150 bail.
Martin County sheriff’s deputies said the 50-year-old professional golfer was not under the influence of alcohol, but law enforcement at the scene determined he was impaired at the time of the crash. The affidavit said Woods was “sweating profusely,” his pupils were “extremely dilated,” and he had to be reminded multiple times to follow instructions during the impairment test.
Two hydrocodone tablets were also found in his pants pocket. Hydrocodone is a prescription opioid painkiller.
Woods entered a not guilty plea on March 31 with attorney Douglas Duncan, who also represented Woods during his 2017 DUI arrest in Palm Beach County. Martin County Judge Darren Steele approved Woods’ request for treatment options abroad.
“Based on Defendant’s physician, the recommendation for a foreign treatment facility is based on Defendant’s complex clinical condition and the urgent need for a level of treatment that cannot be safely or effectively provided in the United States due to repeated violations of Defendant’s privacy,” Duncan wrote in the motion.
Duncan also wrote that “continued medical scrutiny and public exposure will create significant barriers to his treatment, resulting in setbacks and an inability to fully engage in treatment.”
This is the second vehicle rollover accident for Woods since 2021, and the second time since 2017 that he has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
