Sean “Diddy” Combs, a former almighty Hollywood heavy hitter, is awaiting trial in a New York prison.

With the suffering media mogul facing the rest of his life in federal prison, investigators claim that Combs is the mastermind behind an elaborate scheme to “fulfil the sexual desire” to abuse a wide range of victims of sexual assault and rape.

Combs’ trial begins in New York City on May 5th, and his federal sex crimes case is officially being prepared ongoing as the billboard chart topping rapper remains behind the bar.

Here’s what you need to know about the prosecutor’s case against combs and his attempts to protect himself amid the gust of criminal charges:

Diddy was arrested at the Manhattan hotel in September

Diddy was first arrested at a Manhattan hotel in September and was later charged with assault, sex trafficking and transporting to engage in prostitution. He pleads not guilty to all five counts.

The arrest of the founder of Bad Boy Records followed Bicoastal Federal Raids at his home in Miami and Los Angeles in March 2024.

Federal prosecutors filed their second acquisition lawsuit this March, renewing the amended charges from January, adding three unnamed women allegedly victims of so-called sex trafficking companies.

In the third case, prosecutors added two additional counts to the previous three charges against him.

Diddy Sex-Crimes charges a total of 5 counts including sex trafficking

Comb is charged with two counts of sex trafficking, two transports engaged in prostitution and one assault. In early April, federal prosecutors added two additional counts to their lawsuit against the hitmaker “I’m missing you” which includes each of their respective sex trafficking and transport to engage in prostitution.

Racketeering is the participation in organizational laws affected by Racketeer or illegal schemes under RICO as a way for the US government to prosecute organizations that contribute to criminal activity.

Using the RICO Act, which is generally intended to target multi-person criminal organizations, prosecutors sometimes make daily sex performances where federal prosecutors claim they have videos, saying that Combs is forced victims, some of whom are sex workers, and sometimes they make daily sex performances where they claim they have videos.

Diddy’s federal trial is not about civil litigation.

The federal criminal trial centered on Diddy does not include dozens of civil cases levied against him in the past year.

But the court battle coincides with a barrage of civil lawsuits that reversed the Combs public persona that denounced the rappers of many abuses, including sexual assault, rape and physical violence. Some claims involve minors.

Many of the cases filed against Diddy Hale from controversial Texas attorney Tony Buzby. The lawsuit against Combs, 55, was filed in federal court in New York by Houston lawyers, including Buzbee Law Firm.

Combs’ lawyers suggest that his behavior is sexually “shaking.”

Combs’ attorneys laid the foundation for legal defense during a court hearing on April 25th.

At the hearing, the legal team of the music moguls who fought argued that he was not a federal sex crime because he was simply engaged in sexual “swings” in his mind.

A consensual but single sexual behavior, “swing,” occurs when a single or partner in a committed relationship engages in an intimate behavior.

Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo said his legal team agreed that Combs could not argue that he was being selectively targeted for prosecution, but they need to be able to say that “lifestyle” Combs had.

Didi remains in prison when the trial begins.

Despite repeated attempts at bail, Combs was ordered to be detained in the Special Housing Unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn prior to his May 5th trial. His legal team took the challenge. He has been there since his arrest on September 16th, 2024.

New York City Jail is suspected of UnitedHealthcare CEO shooter Luigi Mangione, and sometimes disgraces FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried. In an interview in March, the former entrepreneur praised his fellow famous inmates.

“Diddy in prison only saw one of him and he was kind to the people in the unit. He was kind to me,” Bankmanfried told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson on the podcast. “That’s a position no one wants to be.”
