“American Idol” narrowed its competition to just five competitors.
It’s been too long since the ABC show repeatedly raided viewers overhead with Disney brand mutual promotions (a month), so “Idol” has reclaimed an obvious fan-favorite Disney night. And this year’s edition comes with an additional dose of Mouse House, spanning two episodes.
In the first half of Episode 16 on May 11th, Lin-Manuel Miranda helped top 7 contestants hit the correct chords in their beloved songs from Disney and Pixar Film Archive. Faith wasn’t just her feelings about his songs.
“I’ve never been more depressed to be single than in this moment,” host Ryan Seacrest died after reciting some of the thunderstorm lyrics.
