- The property includes an indoor shooting range, a pool house, a guesthouse and a 4,000-square-foot dock.
Jim Ilsai, owner of the $19.9 million lake home in the late Indianapolis Colts house, is on sale and marks his second Indiana fortune in less than a month since Irsay Estate put it on the market. In late July, Irsay’s $12 million Carmel Mansion was listed, with pending offers within days.
The latest list, the 13,956-square-foot lake home, located on almost six acres of Maxine Cookie Lake in Culver, features eight bedrooms, 10 baths and a personal touch Irsay who helped design the house he built in 2001.
“This real estate home is a unique Midwest home. It’s not just a home, it’s a fully realized lifestyle real estate that combines European architecture, recreational activities and privacy,” Angkor Satheby’s international reality and property listing agent wrote to the US Prime Minister.
“Irsay, a 250-foot lake entrance, wellness complex and entertainment pavilion, designed the facility for the purpose of living and hosting for generations. It’s really special.”
The facility’s main residence is “a European-style masterpiece with elegant living spaces, with soaring timber framed ceilings, hand-painted details and vast floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking lake views.”
The house comes in four levels, with partial elevator access, designed by Irsay “to house a generation of family and friends.” This includes spacious entertainment areas, including low levels of strikes, multiple screening sleep pouches and private quarters.
With year-round swimming and spa amenities, the indoor pool house features retractable lake-facing doors, a hot tub, a heated paved pool deck, a fireplace lounge area, plant walls, steam rooms and fitness areas. The guesthouse, located behind the main residence, has eight garages.
The property also features the largest private dock on Maxine Kicky Lake, with over 4,000 square feet of dock space, two boat slips and three solar lifts. A fire pit lounge, sand volleyball court and terrace designed to overlook the lake are designed for relaxation and host guests.
Within the Entertainment Complex is a professional 4-lane bowling alley, an arcade game area, a state-of-the-art indoor shooting range and a club-style bar with 20 seats.
“It has long been held as a precious private retreat,” List said, “The property combines heritage and privacy with a lifestyle defined by the luxuries, size and natural beauty of one of Indiana’s most iconic lakes.”
Irsay passed away on May 21st at the age of 65 after falling asleep.
