Thousands of toys, water bottles and bedding products for infants and children sold by Amazon, Shein and other popular retailers were recently recalled as they pose serious safety risks just in time for the holiday shopping season.

These products were named in a series of recalls reported by the Consumer Product Safety Commission on Dec. 4 and were sold primarily online throughout 2025. The affected products, ranging from tablets to sports tumblers, failed to meet U.S. safety standards for issues commonly considered dangerous to children’s health, including batteries, magnets and safe sleep regulations.

Before you do your holiday shopping, check out the list of recalled children’s products here.

HyrdoJug 14oz Children’s Sports Tumbler

What is being recalled? Approximately 17,000 HydroJug brand water bottles for children are being recalled as they pose a choking hazard. The 14-ounce children’s sports tumbler bottles come in cowgirl, sports, daisy checker, dinosaur, and bow patterns and have rivets on the handles that can loosen and cause the handles to fall off, creating a choking hazard on small parts.

Why are they being recalled? As of the Dec. 4 recall notice, the company had received more than 650 reports of handle rivets coming loose, but no injuries had been reported.

Products affected: The bottom of the tumbler under the rubber boot of the water bottle has serial number 235010 or no serial number. These were sold for approximately $25 from May 2025 to June 2025 at Academy Sports, Scheels, Combined Sales Company, Gordons Ace Hardware, Bucks Ace, Kents Grocery, Basin Sports, and online at Hydrojug.com, Amazon.com, Well.ca, and iHerb.com.

What to do: Consumers with affected products should immediately stop using their tumblers and contact HydroJuge at service@thehydrojug.com to receive a free replacement lid. Customers must provide order details, shipping address, a photo of the bottom of the tumbler, and a photo of the recalled lid marked “Recalled” before it can be discarded to receive a replacement.

KTEBO Writing Tablet Toy

What is being recalled? Approximately 10,380 KTEBO branded children’s tablets are being recalled due to a battery safety issue that could lead to serious injury or death.

Why are they being recalled? Button batteries are small round batteries commonly used in toys and are known to be extremely dangerous to children and pets, who can easily swallow them and cause serious injury, internal chemical burns, or death. The screws on the affected KTEBO writing tablet toys do not comply with toy standards and may loosen, exposing the internal button battery.

Products affected: The tablets, which were recalled on December 4, were sold in sets of two and came in four color variations (pink/blue, green/yellow, orange/blue, and purple/red) and two sizes (8.5-inch and 10-inch), and included a color-matched stylus. These were sold on Amazon.com from September 2025 to October 2025 for $8 to $30.

What to do: Customers should immediately stop using the recalled tablet and contact KTEBO at writing-tablet-recall@ktebo.com for a free replacement. To receive a new tablet, consumers must write “Recalled” on the back of the tablet, take a photo, and send it to the address above with “Recall Proof” and their name in the subject line.

CreateOn Crayola branded pip-Cubes

What is being recalled? Approximately 9,400 Crayola-branded toys are being recalled due to the risk of ingestion, which can cause serious injury or death.

Why are they being recalled? The Crayola CreateOn pip-Cube is a magnetic construction cube sold in recognizable Crayola packaging. The strong magnets on the small blocks can loosen and, if swallowed, they can stick to each other inside the body and become stuck in the digestive system. Such magnets are known to perforate, twist, or block the intestines, causing sepsis and death.

Products affected: The recalled cubes were sold in sets of 24 or 27 cubes in bold colors and glitter. The bold colored cubes are red, green, blue, and yellow. Glitter cubes come in purple, pink, blue, and green with glitter.

“Crayola” is stamped on the left side of each cube and the model/UPC number is located on the bottom of the product packaging. The recalled UPC models and numbers are:

  • Bold colors, 24 cubes: Model number 1000199, UPC 850067300199
  • Bold colors, 27 cubes: Model number 1000243, UPC 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 24 Cubes: Model #1000205, UPC 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 27 Cubes: Model #1000250, UPC 850067300250

The 24-piece set was sold at Michaels stores nationwide and online at Michaels.com for about $20. The 27-piece set was sold online at Amazon.com for about $35. The entire set was sold from May 2025 to July 2025.

What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using recalled magnetic building cubes and remove them from the reach of children. To receive your free replacement set, please contact CreateOn at 800-333-0549, Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 4 PM Central Time, pipcuberecall@CreateOn.com or https://www.createon.com/recall/. CreateOn will provide you with a prepaid shipping label to return your cubes.

Cubimana assembly toy set

What is being recalled? Approximately 40 construction toy sets sold by fast fashion retailer Shein have been recalled for violating battery safety standards.

Why are they being recalled? The Cubimana Tree House Building Toy Set features a battery compartment with button batteries that are easily accessible to children. If swallowed, batteries can cause serious injury, internal chemical burns, and death.

Products affected: The recalled set consists of 618 multi-colored pieces for building a three-tiered tree house with the “Cubimana” logo, “Tree House” and “NO. HG1015” illuminated on the front and back of the product packaging.

The treehouse set was sold on Shein.com from July 2025 to October 2025 for approximately $20.

What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using recalled toy sets, keep them away from children, remove batteries, and dispose of them properly. To receive a full refund, customers must throw away part of the LED light along with the battery compartment and send a photo of the product in the trash to shein.us@vatostoys.com.

TooyBing Montessori Stacking Toy

What is being flagged? The CPSC also issued a warning for another Shein toy product, although no official recall has yet been announced. The agency urged consumers to immediately stop using Montessori wooden bead toys, a wooden toy from Tooibing, as they pose a choking hazard.

Why was the alarm issued? The CPSC said these toys violate the small parts ban and should not be used by children under 3. The CPSC issued a violation notice to the toy manufacturer.

Products affected: The multicolored toy consists of 25 wooden beads in pink, blue, red, orange, purple, green, white, and yellow, 2 wooden sticks with yellow and red strings, 8 pattern cards, and 1 wooden nail stand. “TooyBing”, “Montessori wooden toy” and “Fun Bead Sequencing Games” are printed on the front of the product package, and “Model number: TB-MZWJ” is written on the back.

The toy was sold online at Shein.com from July 2025 to September 2025 for approximately $20. They may also be sold by various third-party sellers and other websites.

What to do: Consumers should immediately dispose of toys and report incidents involving injuries or product defects to the CPSC (www.SaferProducts.gov).

Little Pea Shop Crib Bumper

What is being recalled? Approximately 300 Little Pea Shop brand crib bumpers have been recalled due to the risk of suffocation and death.

Why are they being recalled? This bumper violates the Infant Safe Sleep Act’s federal ban on padded crib bumpers, which can restrict infant breathing and cause serious injury or death from suffocation.

Products affected: Two styles of Little Pea Shop brand padded crib bumpers have been recalled. This includes the “waffle bedding accessory” style, which is sold as bumper pads in gray, pink, blue, and white and comes in four different lengths: 23.5 inches, 47 inches, 78.5 inches, and 94.5 inches. It also reminds me of the “Plush Crib Bumper” style, which was sold as a beige and ivory Velcro vertical crib slat cover in the shape of a bear, bunny, or star pattern.

Affected products were sold for $30 to $80 on littlepeashop.com from October 2023 to October 2025.

What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled crib bumper and contact Little Pea Shop at support@littlepeashop.com for a full refund. To receive a refund, consumers must remove the crib bumper, cut out the padding, and email a photo of the destroyed bumper.
