According to a social media post, the DC National Guard commander extended the deployment of security guards to November 30, but it remains unclear whether security guards will patrol capital all the time.

The public safety emergency that President Donald Trump declared for DC in August is expected to expire on September 10th.

The White House did not immediately respond to questions about whether it planned to extend the emergency or asked to extend the deployment.

“I have decided to extend the camp as we continue to work to ensure that everyone passing through these city streets is safe,” Brigg said. General Leland D. Blanchard II, interim commander of DC National Guerd, said in a video posted on the DC National Guerd Facebook page. “They deserve it. You deserve it. Our country deserves it.”

Orders apply only to members of the DC National Guard. The order does not apply to national security guards in other states, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, South Carolina, and West Virginia.

The DC National Guard mentioned questions about why the deployment was expanded to the White House. NBC4 Washington reported that the DC National Guard told them it was an administrative issue that ensures that the deployed security guards do not lose wages and benefits.

Attorney General Pam Bondy said on social media that 1,841 people were arrested on August 4th, and 188 guns have been seized since the federal takeover began. Trump also controls the district’s metropolitan police station.

Some of the more than 2,300 National Guard troops working in Washington have found themselves beautifully beautiful Washington parks and streets, picking up trash and patrolling less popular crime tourist spots rather than high crime neighborhoods.

On August 4, DC Attorney General Brian Schwab sued the Trump administration over the deployment of the National Guard forces, asking the judge to stop the deployment of 2,200 troops by claiming it was unconstitutional.

Trump also threatened to send federal troops to Chicago and New Orleans this week. On September 2, a federal judge blocked the deployment of the National Guard in California
