The open ceremony for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in Utah on September 10th, will be held in Arizona on Sunday, September 21st.
A nonprofit advocating for conservative politics on high school, college and university campuses said in a post on X that the morning event to honor co-founder Kirk’s life will be held in Glendale, Arizona.
“Celebrate the incredible life and enduring legacy of American legend Charlie Kirk,” the post reads more about the service.
Kirk, 31, was killed while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City. The shooter, suspected publicly identified by authorities as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is now in custody on Thursday night, Sept. 11, more than 24 hours after Kirk’s murder, and is in custody at the Utah County Jail, according to the inmate booking sheet.
He has since been charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of firearms, obstruction of justice, tampering with eyewitnesses and violent crimes committees in front of children, Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray said at a press conference. Gray called Kirk’s murder a “American tragedy” and called for the death penalty.

The Kirk memorial will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinal.
The website, dubbed “the best multipurpose venue,” state farm stadium has 63,400 seats, but can be expanded to over 73,000 for large events. Venue features include a retractable roof, a natural grass field and over 20,000 parking spaces, over 1.7 million square feet of space. Additionally, the stadium has multiple lounges, event spaces, team lockers and deck spaces, offering a wide view of the stadium.
Opened in 2006, State Farm Stadium hosted its annual Fiesta Bowl, previously hosted the Super Bowl LVII in 2023 and the NCAA Men’s Final 4 in 2024. Owned by the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority (AZSTA).
Attendance at the service will be determined on a “first come, first serve” basis, and future participants will need to register with Turning Point USA on their website. Event guidance will be sent on the evening of September 20th.

Kirk’s additional service doors are scheduled to open at 8am Mountain Standard Time (MST), according to Turning Point, and the program is expected to start at 11am.

President Donald Trump, who was enthusiastically supported by Kirk, told reporters on September 11 that he was scheduled to attend Kirk’s service.
“That’s always the case, I’ll go,” Trump, who is currently visiting the UK, told reporters. The president is scheduled to return to the United States in Air Force 1 on Thursday night, September 18th, and is hoping to speak at the service, USA Today previously reported.
Vice President J.D. V. V. D. Vance and his wife Ushavance are also expected to attend attendance, accompanied by Kirk’s body as he was transported by Air Force 2 to a Phoenix Funeral from Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Vance also hosted a podcast of conservative commentators and celebrated his life with other leading figures in the Trump administration on Monday, September 15th.
In addition to Trump and Vance, top management officers, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will be attending his service ceremony.
