Halle Bailey is taking legal action against her ex-boyfriend and co-parent DDG just seven months after the couple revealed their split.

Bailey, 25, denounced the rapper born in the request for a restraining order filed May 13 by Darryl Rumberry Jr. in a request for a restraining order filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to court documents obtained by USA Today. Bailey and DDG share their one-year-old son, Hello.

The actress and singer who revealed in submission that she and DDG broke up due to his “temper and lack of respect for me” claim that her ex-boyfriend has created the habit of “evil” her as a parent on social media (in addition to his rap career, DDG is a professional YouTuber and Twitch Blogger).

“I understand that I will not appease Daryl,” Bailey said in a statement attached to the submission. “I can’t allow this abuse anymore. I can’t live like this. I don’t know when he will ask for my son to take care of my mother and whether I will be exposed to his threats and abuse.”

USA Today contacted Bailey and DDG representatives for comments.

As a result of DDG’s alleged abuse, Bailey is requesting orders that will not stay with herself and Halo to prevent the rapper from staying 100 yards apart, preventing the DDG from contacting the Motherson Pair, and stopping the rapper from stopping posts about Bailey and Hello on social media.

The “Little Mermaid” star also requires full legal and physical custody of Hello. Bailey asked the court in June to allow her to travel to Italy with her son.

Bailey and DDG published their relationship in March 2022 when the “I’m Geekin” rapper shared Bailey’s 22 romantic tributes.nd Instagram birthday, according to People Magazine. Chloe X Halesinger later revealed in an August 2022 interview with Essence that the two met through social media after DDG sent her a message online.

Halle Bailey claims DDG “slaps” her son’s face with the handle in front of him

Bailey claims that DDG physically abused her on various occasions, even in the presence of her son.

In the January incident, the Grammy-appointed singer claims that a debate broke out between a former couple in the Los Angeles home after asking DDG when he returned the Hello to DDG, according to Bailey’s request for restraint orders. Bailey said the conflict escalated after DDG refused to answer her questions and was “upset” visible when she placed the baby in DDG’s car seat.

Bailey said she and DDG would start wrestling and at one point he would pull his hair and then slam his face into the steering wheel of the car. As a result of the argument, Bailey claims she suffers multiple bruises on her arm and lacks teeth. Close-up images of suspected injuries are included in court documents.

The “growered” alumni alleges that the DDG’s “last-minute demand” to visit Halo caused a conflict. In March, Bailey said that despite Bailey’s previous warning that she and the baby are sick with RSV, DDG came to her house to see Hello. When she told the rapper she didn’t want to leave the house, DDG reportedly “he spoke up and verbally abused him towards me,” and later destroyed the security cameras in her home after he realized it was being recorded.

Bailey added that after the rapper called and allegedly dumped it from the car window, he filed a police report against the DDG after the incident.

In another alleged incident earlier that month, Bailey said DDG entered her house when she was not there and entered her bedroom to take a picture of her empty bed. The actress claims she received the photo via text message along with “Now I know what you’re doing.” Bailey said she interpreted it as an insinuation that she was “having sex with another man.”

Halle Bailey accuses DDG of targeting her on social media

Bailey claims that DDG will weaponize “millions” online fanbase to criticize motherhood.

On each court document, Bailey said the DDG accused him of preventing him from seeing his son and having an affair with other men. The actress is said to have refused to establish an agreement while trying to schedule a visit with the DDG.

“It appears he’s trying to set up a drama for his fans. He rants ‘live’ about me and claims I’m protecting Hello from him,” Bailey said in the submission. “This isn’t child-centric. I asked him to stop this behavior. He continues. He gets paid for hits and this makes a hit for him.”

Bailey said the “fan frenzy” produced by the frequent posts by DDG led to intense public scrutiny of her family life, including the circulation of the hashtag #freehalo.

“This made me feel terrified and sacrificed,” Bailey said. “His fans threaten me. I’m often scared of my life and the safety of Hello.”

A hearing in Bailey’s lawsuit against DDG is scheduled for June 4th.
