Grocery prices cause stress for almost half of Americans: polls
Grocery prices are stressing many Americans. Almost half of the rising food costs say that daily shopping is a financial burden.

As retailers are planning to open more than half a dozen stores in October, more target runs could be in the future.
The Minneapolis-based retail giant is planning to open slates in 20 U.S. states, according to its website.
The company says it takes many factors into consideration when deciding where to place new locations, such as community needs, site constraints and other area target stores.
Target leaned against a larger footprint in a fact sheet provided to USA Today, pointing out that the six new stores are larger than the 125,000 square feet chain average. The fact sheet says Target opened eight locations this summer.
Targets face pushbacks from consumers who are upset by the rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies. The boycott has undermined Target’s reputation, and the company confirmed in its 2024 report.
