Taco Bell is giving you the chance to get one of its most popular dishes for just $1.
Last week, the Mexican-inspired food chain brought back the Quesarito ($4.99), a fan favorite that first debuted nationally at Taco Bell in 2014 (it also added Cheese Dipped Burrito with Creamy Garlic Sauce and Steak Garlic Nacho Fries to the menu for a limited time).
Over the years, the Quesarito became a fan favorite, but Taco Bell took it off the menu and offered it only for online orders before removing it completely in 2023. We are now back to our holiday menu. This dish is made with seasoned beef and rice, chipotle sauce, and low-fat sour cream, wrapped in a grilled quesadilla tortilla with melted cheese and nacho cheese sauce.
On Tuesday, Dec. 23, Taco Bell will be giving away 30,000 $1 Quesaritos. Here’s how to trade:
Get Taco Bell’s Quesarito for $1
To get your Quesarito deal on Tuesday, December 23rd, make sure you’re enrolled in the Taco Bell Rewards loyalty program.
Keep an eye on the app. At 5:00 PM ET/2:00 PM PT, a “Claim Reward” prompt will appear within the Taco Bell app, and the first 30,000 people to click on it will receive a $1 Quesarito. When ordering, you must add another eligible menu item to your order. (One prize per person.)
Why would Taco Bell want Nikola Jokic to have a Quesarito?
The NBA superstar’s relationship with Taco Bell is one of unfortunate timing. When the Denver Nuggets drafted Nikola Jokic with the 41st pick in the second round in 2014, ESPN did not broadcast the selection live on air.
Instead, the network ran a Taco Bell commercial featuring the then-new dish Quesarito, and it became clear that Jokic had been chosen as Chiron, Front Office Sports recalled.
Since then, video clips of ESPN dissing Jokic, a seven-time NBA All-Star and NBA Finals MVP, have surfaced on the internet every NBA season.
Jokic said he could never eat Taco Bell food “for that reason,” but Taco Bell isn’t giving up quietly. The company gave all fans who attended the Dec. 20 game against the Nuggets a T-shirt with an image of the commercial and the words “Give Quesarito a Chance.”
“No way,” Jokic said when asked about the gift. But that didn’t change his mind, according to Bleacher Report. “That’s strange. I won’t do it. I won’t do it.”
Based on Nuggets’ social media posts, it appears his teammates may have acquired star center Kessaritos.
