Susan Boyle charmed the world with her angelic vocals, but now it’s her eggs that fans admire her for.
The Scottish singer and TV personality, who shot to music and internet stardom as the runner-up on Season 3 of Britain’s Got Talent, surprised fans with a new blonde hairstyle during a recent red carpet appearance.
Boyle, known for her brunette bob hair, attended the Pride of Britain Awards ceremony on Monday, October 20th, wearing a bright outfit. The awards ceremony, held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, celebrates everyday people who have persevered through difficult circumstances.
Ms Boyle, 64, wrote on Instagram on October 21: “What an amazing night the Pride of Britain Awards Ceremony was! 💖”, which included several glamorous shots of her new award. “It was such an honor to celebrate so many truly inspirational people. Everyone looked absolutely amazing and it was great to see some familiar faces.”
Boyle has been featuring her hair transformation on social media over the past few months, including at a movie night in August to see Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s crime comedy The Naked Gun.
The Grammy-nominated opera-pop singer first captivated audiences in 2009 when she appeared as a contestant on Simon Cowell’s reality competition series Britain’s Got Talent. Ms Boyle, 47 at the time, was an unemployed charity worker from rural West Lothian, Scotland, who told TV cameras she lived with her cat Pebbles and had “never been kissed”.
In the 24 hours after the episode aired, tens of millions of people watched her stunning audition performance on YouTube. Boyle became an overnight sensation, with TV crews flocking to her hometown and showbiz luminaries like Oprah Winfrey inviting her to appear on their shows.
Boyle’s momentum extended beyond his tenure on “BGT.” Her debut album, “I Dreamed a Dream,” released in November 2009, set a record for the largest first-week sales by a debut album in the United Kingdom and ultimately became the second best-selling album in the United States in 2009.
