NFL overreaction: Patriots face Seahawks in Super Bowl LX
USAT’s Prince Grimes prepares for Super Bowl LX with the Patriots and Seahawks after NFL Championship weekend.

It’s not a Hollywood ending, it’s a Santa Clara, California ending.
The NFL’s Super Bowl logo conspiracy has been circulating for years, with the tinfoil hat-wearing people of the football world trying to draw conclusions from the innocuous color scheme of the NFL’s “big game” official logo.
This year, the NFL avoided a Super Bowl logo that some considered predictive. But some are pointing to another official graphic created by the league as cause for skepticism.
On Sept. 4, the first day of the NFL’s 2025 regular season, a graphic depicting notable players from all 32 teams was shared from the league’s official platform with the caption, “32 teams dreamed of February. We’re back.”
That’s not remarkable, but what is worth noting are the few players closest to the Lombardi Trophy in the graphic.
Several people stand near the “front” of the graphic, including New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabors and Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback/wrist Travis Hunter, but Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold and New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye stand out as the players closest to the trophy and Levi’s Stadium.
Both passers and their respective teams will face off in Super Bowl 60 in a few weeks.
See for yourself:
While some may consider this graphic to be a “leaked script” moment, the truth is it’s just a happy coincidence.
Regardless of whether the football gods made an unintended prediction or not, the reality remains that Darnold’s Seahawks will face May’s Patriots in Super Bowl 60.
