A week before the final season of Stranger Things is released, Nike and Converse have released an exclusive line of sneakers inspired by the hit Netflix series set in the ’80s.
Nike and Converse announced the release of their “Stranger Things” collection on November 20th. The collection includes at least five sneakers inspired by the Netflix series and popular sneaker styles of the 1980s, according to a Nike news release.
For example, the Converse x “Stranger Things” Chuck 70 features distressed gray canvas with WSQK radio station graphics and Soundwave embroidery. The sneakers also feature Hawkins Hawk lace jewels, a rubber chicken keychain, the Demogorgon star on the chuck patch, and Hellfire Club player name print on the tongue liner. According to the release, the Converse comes with two custom laces and an upside-down license plate.
The Stranger Things collection also includes Nike T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and tracksuits. This apparel will be sold exclusively at JD Sports.
The collection follows Nike’s release of the Stranger Things Dunk Low sneakers on November 6th. The sneakers were released exclusively on the Nike SNKRS mobile app. The sneakers sell for between $200 and $360 on resale sites like eBay, StockX, and GOAT.
Nike and Converse’s collaboration isn’t the first sneaker inspired by Stranger Things. Nike first released its line of Stranger Things Air Tailwind 79, Blazer Mid, and Cortez sneakers in 2019 after the release of Season 3. In 2022, Vans released a line of “Stranger Things” sneakers, apparel and accessories following the release of Season 4.
“Stranger Things” Season 5 will premiere on Wednesday, November 26th with four episodes. Three episodes will be released on Christmas Day, with the final episode airing on Wednesday, December 31st. Each episode will be released on Netflix at 5pm PT.
