The first four episodes of Stranger Things season 5 will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, November 26th. The remaining episodes will be released on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. It has been decided that season 5 will be the series finale.
Season 5 of Stranger Things begins with a time jump to the fall of 1987, after Hawkins, Indiana experiences the opening of the Rift Valley. Will, Mike, Lucas, and the rest of the gang are on a mission to find and kill the missing Vecna.
“To complicate their mission, the government places the town under military quarantine and intensifies the search for Eleven, forcing her to return to hiding,” the synopsis for the Netflix show reads. “As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, a heavy, familiar fear sets in.
“The final battle is at hand, and with it comes a darkness more powerful and deadly than anything they have ever faced. To end this nightmare, everyone – the entire party – must come together one last time.”
