Take a bite of Taco Bell’s Baja Blast Pie
Social media is reacting to Taco Bell’s new limited-edition and colorful Mountain Dew Baja Blast Pie.
Taco Bell isn’t just adding new dishes to its menu. The restaurant chain is also adding a new ingredient to its flavor arsenal: poblano pepper.
A new product, “Steak & Poblano Roll Quesadilla,” made with poblano peppers roasted over an open flame for a mild spiciness, will go on sale nationwide for a limited time from Thursday, November 20th.
Taco Bell said in a news release that the quesadilla is the chain’s first rolled quesadilla with a twist, “transforming it into something portable, peppery and flavorful.”
“At Taco Bell, innovation means more than new menu items; it’s about reimagining classics and introducing bold flavors that excite our fans,” Luis Restrepo, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “With the debut of Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadillas, we celebrate the unique flavor profile of poblano peppers in a new way. This launch is a testament to our continued efforts to deliver craveable innovation in every bite.”

The new quesadilla consists of a warm rolled tortilla filled with marinated steak, melted cheese, flame-grilled poblano peppers and spicy ranch sauce.
Taco Bell says the dish will be available a la carte for $4.99 (prices vary by location and participation method), or as part of the $9 Discovery Lux Cravings Box, which also includes one Doritos Locos Taco, one Crunchy Taco, chips with Nacho Cheese Sauce and a medium fountain drink.

Taco Bell fans have a chance to win one of 300 free cardigan poblano sweaters in the next few days. The chunky knit sweater features the letters “T” and “B” on the front pocket and an illustration of a poblano pepper on the back.
Members of the Taco Bell Rewards loyalty program can enter for a chance to win on the Tuesday Drop page in the app from 5:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM PT to 6:00 PM ET / 3:00 PM PT on December 9th. Winners will be notified on or about December 12th.
