Discover the most talked-about Starbucks drinks of 2025 and learn how to order these trending creations.
Another day, another “wrap,” but this time it’s Starbucks’ turn.
The coffee house chain announced on Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Year of the Sip, a breakdown of the nine “most talked about drink creations” of 2025.
From Dubai Chocolate-inspired Matcha to Delta Air Lines-inspired Cookie Butter Latte, Starbucks customers and employees took the lead in “mixing and testing” custom recipes to generate demand both online and offline this year.
Starbucks says all of these drinks are either part of Starbucks’ “secret menu” or shared on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
“Starbucks has always been at the forefront of beverage trends,” Dana Pellicano, Starbucks’ senior vice president of global product experience, said in a statement. “From our first secret menu drinks to today’s viral sensations, we love celebrating the imagination and joy our customers and partners bring to every drink.”
Introducing the most talked-about drinks of 2025, including how to order them.
Matcha latte inspired by Dubai chocolate
2025 was the year of Dubai chocolate, so when the Dubai chocolate-inspired matcha latte recipe was launched in January, customers went wild.
The fanfare was so great that Starbucks has decided to add two official Dubai Chocolate drinks to its winter menu in January 2026: Matcha inspired by Iced Dubai Chocolate and Mocha inspired by Iced Dubai Chocolate.
How to order: Order the Grande Iced Matcha Latte with chocolate cream cold foam and two pumps of pistachio sauce.
strawberry matcha
Strawberry matcha may have been trending across social media platforms during the summer, but this drink can be enjoyed year-round with a few additions like strawberry puree, heavy cream, vanilla bean powder, and cold foam of matcha cream.
How to order: Request the Venti Pink Drink with strawberry puree, fresh cream, 3 scoops of strawberry inclusions, 3 scoops of vanilla bean powder and matcha cream cold foam.
pink drink with pearls
This summer, Starbucks made its pink drink pop by adding raspberry pearls borrowed from Summer Berry Refreshers and smoothing Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam.
How to order: Request a Venti pink drink without strawberries, vanilla sweet cream cold foam, and raspberry pearls.
Frappuccino inspired by cotton candy
The drink comes in the wake of the return of raspberries and the launch of a new version of raspberry syrup, which the company calls a “nostalgic new summer drink” with a cotton candy-like taste.
Starbucks’ new and improved raspberry flavor has been brought back to the United States for a “limited time only.”
How to order: Add 3 pumps of raspberry syrup and whipped cream to the Venti Vanilla Bean Cream Frappuccino.
chocolate brown sugar shake espresso
Additions like white chocolate mocha sauce, vanilla sweet cream cold foam, and caramel drizzle have made the Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shake Espresso a year-round favorite.
How to order: Order the Venti Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shake Espresso with 3 pumps of white chocolate mocha sauce, vanilla sweet cream cold foam, and caramel drizzle.
delta style cookie drink
The drink, inspired by Delta Air Lines’ in-flight cookies, is “warm, spicy-sweet and a comforting companion to any holiday adventure,” Starbucks said.
How to order: Order an iced brown sugar oat milk shake espresso and 1 pump of chai, extra cinnamon powder, and ask the barista to caramelize your cup.
pumpkin spice + matcha
Customers got the best of both worlds with the Pumpkin Spice + Matcha drink, which seamlessly blends “the earthy hues of matcha with the classic warmth of pumpkin spice.”
How to order: Grande Iced Matcha Latte Oatmilk with 2 pumps of brown sugar syrup, 1 pump of pumpkin sauce, pumpkin cream cold foam, and pumpkin spice topping, order without the classic syrup.
gummy shark drink
Gummy Shark Candy was the inspiration for a summer drink made with Summer Berry Refresher (minus the raspberry pearls) and topped with vanilla sweet cream cold foam.
How to order: Ask for the Grande Summer Skies drink, which has a cold foam of vanilla sweet cream. However, it does not contain raspberry pearls.
sugar cookie ice matcha
Starbucks says Sugar Cookie Iced Matcha has “unwrapped” a new flavor this holiday season that combines the sweetness of sugar cookies with the “bright” taste of matcha.
How to order: Grande Iced Matcha Latte Oatmilk with 2 pumps of sugar cookie syrup, 1 pump of white mocha, vanilla cream cold foam, and holiday sprinkles, order without the classic syrup.
